COCH International Trade had been in the business of importing, exporting, trading in ceramic ware, glassware, giftware, handicraft and general merchandise, and serving as local agent of foreign manufactures for over 15 years. First registered with the Department of Trade and Industry on June 17, 1991, COCH had handled orders and shipments for Marks and Spencer UK, Wedgwood UK, Sandra Rich UK & Germany, Yvolux UK, and Miura Engei Co. Japan in different stages of its operation.
In year 1999, COCH was appointed by Rastal GmbH Germany, a glass decorating company, as its representative in the Philippines to handle the glass requirements of conglomerates like San Miguel Corporation and Mercury Drug. Seeing a potential market locally, COCH had then also ventured into wholesale business of selling ceramic ware, glassware and general merchandise, distributing its products to big chain department stores like Shoemart, Robinsons, Rustan's and Metro Gaisano in the early part of year 2001.
In July 2003, COCH took over the domestic distributorship of Lifestyle Tableware Corporation, a sister company doing ceramic ware and glassware decoration. And a year after, Robinsons Department Store group selected COCH from among its numerous suppliers to become its concessionaire/partner for the Tabletop Department, using the brand name Lifestyle Collection.
In the succeeding years, COCH's business expanded to include the local distribution of brands like Williams James, Trisa, Bellarte, Migi Glass and Stolzel Oberglass.
In May 2008, after having been a supplier of Miura Engei Co. of Japan for 7 years, COCH was offered to be the sole distributor of Miura hydro culture plants (soilless live indoor plants) under the brand name "Miura". Today, COCH has 12 Miura outlets at the branches os SM Department Store, Robinsons Department Store, Market Market, Ali Mall and Alabang Town Center.
